I cant find an exact amtch for the model number provided. for the next closes model i can find it looks as if the all the controls are up front in the refrig section. if you will look on the underside of the control housing you will see recessed holes with retaining screws. usually there are 2 (1 on right side of housing 1 on left side). once these are removed then the console should drop down and expose the timer. in some older boxes there were more screws in the rear of the console but try the front ones first. if this doesnt sound like your refrig please recheck your model number for me and message me back. thnks peyton
Look around where the thermostat is . do you see a 1/2 inch hole where there's a small button where a flat screwdriver can turn it then that's the defrost control. remove the upper panel and you should have access to the control. Good Luck

GE TBX18SKE REFRIGERATOR IS AROUND 55F AND THE FREEZER IS AROUND 22F. I took the heating tube out and did a continuity test, tested good, visually it looks great. I cannot seem to locate the defrost timer. I put a new thermostat switch, the one that clips on the coils behind the freezer cover. I would just replace the heater and the defrost timer if I could just locate the darn thing, it doesn't seem to be behind the temp controls in the fridge either. Can anyone help?
